Purpose. To evaluate the efficacy and safety of micropulse laser trabeculoplasty with laser 577 nm (MLT) for primary open angle glaucoma (POAG). Retrospective study. POAG patients undergoing MLT in the Filatov Institute and St.Luka Hospital from 2017 to 2022. 14 patient, 14 eyes of POAG patients were enrolled. Only one eye of each patient was treated by MLT (laser 532 nm). The intraocular pressure (IOP) before MLT and at 14 d and 12 w and glaucoma medication before and after treatment were compared. Setting/Venue. 1. The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy, Odesa, Ukraine. 2. St. Luka Hospital, Kropivnytskyy, Ukraine. RESULTS. The IOP was 27.2±4.3 mm Hg before MLT. The IOP at 14 d and 12 w was 22.3±2.6, 18.3±3.2 mm Hg, respectively. The IOP before and after MLT demonstrated a statistically significant difference ( P<0.001). The statistically significant difference was confirmed between the pre-MLT IOP at 14 d, 12 w after MLT (P <0.001). The number of glaucoma medications before and after MLT not changed. CONCLUSION. MLT is effective and safe for POAG patients. No patient experienced IOP spikes after MLT. Financial disclosure: no any financial interest.
